BRINGING GENIUS IDEAS TO LIFE
The OZY Genius Awards (OGA) is an annual competition that awards 10 grants to college students with the aim of backing their genius idea to change the world.
In 2021, I was tasked to redefine the OZY Genius Awards’ brand identity through coherent visual branding and a bold, new look. Through a series of social campaigns each targeting a different demographic, I helped increase the OZY Genius Awards’ brand awareness, with the program receiving the most sponsorships, press, and applicants that year since its inception.
A STUNNING NEW WEBSITE
Re-designed the OZY Genius Awards’ website to reflect the new branding — from wireframe, to user experience, and design.
CAMPAIGN ONE: THE PIONEERS
This campaign targeted a C-Suite audience, building awareness about the OZY Genius Awards among potential sponsors and key decision-makers. This campaign concept seeks to illustrate young pioneers who achieved the impossible as young adults (the same age bracket as OGA applicants), despite the world’s disbelief in their vision. The goal is to encourage our target audience to support and invest in the next generation of game-changers. Who will be the next Simone Biles, Greta Thunberg, or Billie Eilish? And imagine if you could play a role in helping them achieve success.
CAMPAIGN two: change the world
This campaign targeted the Gen Z audience that would be applying for the OZY Genius Award grants. This concept highlights relatable and iconic Gen Z product trends (aka “TikTok made me buy it”), but if added up to $10,000 — the grant amount that OGA winners take home. You could spend $10,000 on hundreds of “mom jeans”, or you could change the world — which would you choose?
